Pink Ribbon Showdown: PRN, ATS Medical Services compete for a cause

Throughout the month of October, PRN Ambulance professionals are taking part in some friendly competition with sister company ATS Medical Services to raise funds for charity. Each company is selling pink ribbon pins to its team members, who can wear the pins on their uniform throughout Breast Cancer Awareness Month. All the money from the pink ribbon purchases will be donated along with matching amounts from each company’s General Manager – Rick Fields at PRN and Brad Bull at Illinois-based ATS. PRN Ambulance twice takes part in Truck Adventures for Kids

PRN Ambulance recently made its way to the OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa to join a fleet featuring vehicles large and larger at Truck Adventures for Kids. Attendees were able to experience their favorite vehicles inside and out, including one PRN ambulance staffed by Operations Manager Ryan Ferguson and General Manager Rick Fields. PRN also participated in Truck Adventures for Kids in Arcadia one month prior. As always, PRN Ambulance is proud to represent the healthcare and emergency medical services communities at events large and small. Critical care crew praised for transport to neuro-intervention

Critical care crew praised for transport to neuro-intervention

A PRN Ambulance critical care transport crew received praise from a stroke program coordinator at Adventist Health Glendale following a recent transport, starting 2018 on a high note. Joseph Villegas, Nicholas Auringer and Vahe Nazarian transported an emergent ischemic stroke patient from Methodist Hospital in Arcadia to Adventist Health Glendale for emergency neuro-intervention. Shortly after, an Adventist Health Glendale  Stroke Program Coordinator reached out to PRN Ambulance Director of Clinical Programs, Ian Wilson, RN, MICN to thank the incredible PRN Ambulance crew for their efficient and effective work: “I would like to recognize the excellent CCT crew (Joseph, Vahe and Nick) today that brought in a code 3 from Arcadia Methodist Hospital for a 33-year old patient with an LVO (large vessel occlusion) stroke. Their “on scene” time was less than 15 minutes and transport time less than 20 minutes, which will attribute to this patient’s recovery.  Your team showed utmost professionalism and genuine care for the patient they serve. As the team was leaving the hospital, they made their way to the waiting room to speak to the family and I overheard them say, “we are praying for him to get better”. It was so heartwarming to see the caring and kindness demonstrated by your team. The crew was able to observe some of the procedure, but left before I could share with them the results and also the clot that was removed – it was about 12 cm long – a record for us! Four earn promotions to manager, supervisor positions at PRN

PRN Ambulance has recently promoted four of its team members to new positions with the company. Bradford Adkins, Daniel Rowse, Jessie Celis and Eric Lundberg each moved into a management or supervisory role, receiving their much-deserved promotions after years of service to PRN and emergency medical services. Bradford Adkins, Operations Manager: Bradford Adkins earned a promotion to Operations Manager for PRN Ambulance, moving to the position from his role as PRN’s Station Manager in Glendale. Brad came to PRN in January 2016 with nearly three decades of EMS experience and his first role with the company was as an EMT. Brad has held numerous managerial positions in EMS, which has been invaluable to PRN operations. His accomplishments over the years include exemplary clinical performance reviews, commendations from several political constituents, and a Medal of Valor in 2014 for his teamwork, training and bravery exhibited during an active shooter incident. For more than a decade, Brad has also given back to the community in his free time, volunteering as an EMT Sheriff Air Medic. Daniel Rowse, Field Manager: PRN Ambulance promoted Daniel Rowse to a Field Manager position. An EMT for the past 15 years, Daniel joined PRN in April 2008 and his since earned roles as Field Training Officer and Officer of the Day. In addition to serving at PRN for nearly a decade, Daniel has served as a Clinical EMT Instructor as well as a Volunteer Instructor for the American Red Cross teaching classes on CPR and first aid.
