Rick Fields selected as new General Manager of PRN Ambulance

PRN Ambulance has hired a new General Manager, selecting Rick Fields for the position based at company headquarters in North Hills. Rick brings more than three decades of transportation and logistics expertise to the role. An award-winning logistics executive, Rick has traveled the world as a leadership coach, offering training programs in Europe, Asia and the Americas. He also holds numerous certifications including The Institute for Motivational Living’s Certified Behavioral Consultant designation. Rick arrives at PRN after serving most recently as an Operations Director for Hellmann Worldwide Logistics and, prior to that, as Vice President Operations at Morrison Express Corporation. He has held numerous integral positions at both Hellmann and DHL, among many other professional stops throughout his career. Meanwhile, Vickie Tatloyan transitions from GM to a new role focused on better pre-billing practices at PRN and its sister companies as well as assisting all departments in developing a better workflow. Vickie’s new role will allow her to focus on regional and national level strategies to optimize our pre-bill systems throughout the Covalent Health organization. Critical care crew praised for transport to neuro-intervention

A PRN Ambulance critical care transport crew received praise from a stroke program coordinator at Adventist Health Glendale following a recent transport, starting 2018 on a high note. Joseph Villegas, Nicholas Auringer and Vahe Nazarian transported an emergent ischemic stroke patient from Methodist Hospital in Arcadia to Adventist Health Glendale for emergency neuro-intervention. Shortly after, an Adventist Health Glendale  Stroke Program Coordinator reached out to PRN Ambulance Director of Clinical Programs, Ian Wilson, RN, MICN to thank the incredible PRN Ambulance crew for their efficient and effective work: “I would like to recognize the excellent CCT crew (Joseph, Vahe and Nick) today that brought in a code 3 from Arcadia Methodist Hospital for a 33-year old patient with an LVO (large vessel occlusion) stroke. Their “on scene” time was less than 15 minutes and transport time less than 20 minutes, which will attribute to this patient’s recovery.  Your team showed utmost professionalism and genuine care for the patient they serve. As the team was leaving the hospital, they made their way to the waiting room to speak to the family and I overheard them say, “we are praying for him to get better”. It was so heartwarming to see the caring and kindness demonstrated by your team. The crew was able to observe some of the procedure, but left before I could share with them the results and also the clot that was removed – it was about 12 cm long – a record for us! PRN Ambulance has a trio of open houses planned for early in the new year, with its first of the new year scheduled for Friday, Jan. 12 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. at its company headquarters in the Los Angeles community of North Hills. A second is scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 18 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at PRN’s Orange County station in Stanton. February kicks off with an open house on Thursday, Feb. 1 at the Carson station from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Prospective team members are encouraged to attend prepared for an interview because we’re offering them on the spot! PRN is currently hiring EMTs, paramedics and CCT RNs as well as numerous positions outside the ambulance, such as dispatcher, transport coordinator and vehicle service technician. PRN Ambulance gathers and donates gifts from under its Angel Trees

PRN Ambulance continued its annual tradition of giving back for the holidays, gathering and donating gifts through The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program. An Angel Tree was placed at each PRN location in Los Angeles and Orange Counties, under which PRN team members donated gifts to fulfill the holiday wishes of families without the resources to provide gifts due to medical issues, unemployment, homelessness, medical issues or other difficult circumstances. Shortly before Christmas, PRN team members loaded a van full of gifts for delivery to The Salvation Army of Southern California and the families in need, and PRN couldn’t be more proud of all who helped with donations throughout the holiday season!...

Four earn promotions to manager, supervisor positions at PRN

PRN Ambulance has recently promoted four of its team members to new positions with the company. Bradford Adkins, Daniel Rowse, Jessie Celis and Eric Lundberg each moved into a management or supervisory role, receiving their much-deserved promotions after years of service to PRN and emergency medical services. Bradford Adkins, Operations Manager: Bradford Adkins earned a promotion to Operations Manager for PRN Ambulance, moving to the position from his role as PRN’s Station Manager in Glendale. Brad came to PRN in January 2016 with nearly three decades of EMS experience and his first role with the company was as an EMT. Brad has held numerous managerial positions in EMS, which has been invaluable to PRN operations. His accomplishments over the years include exemplary clinical performance reviews, commendations from several political constituents, and a Medal of Valor in 2014 for his teamwork, training and bravery exhibited during an active shooter incident. For more than a decade, Brad has also given back to the community in his free time, volunteering as an EMT Sheriff Air Medic. Daniel Rowse, Field Manager: PRN Ambulance promoted Daniel Rowse to a Field Manager position. An EMT for the past 15 years, Daniel joined PRN in April 2008 and his since earned roles as Field Training Officer and Officer of the Day. In addition to serving at PRN for nearly a decade, Daniel has served as a Clinical EMT Instructor as well as a Volunteer Instructor for the American Red Cross teaching classes on CPR and first aid.
